Big steaming pile of drama

we had one last night in the guild. Without going into much detail we had a couple that thought they were a brilliant asset to our group when in reality, everyone was complaining in the background. A negative comment, an officer response and a gquit by one prompted the other to lash out causing a gkick.
It’s quiet this morning, I don’t have to worry about comments or defending my decisions to keep them around…it’s done…I can sit here and not have to worry about any of it. Collateral damage seems to be at a minimum and with 20 people on last night during this, only one person had anything to say about it. That leads me to believe that it was the right decision. We’ll see what happens, I know a few of our really great players were not raiding or participating because of these two, I have a feeling we’ve gained more than we have lost.

Not dead…

this whole running a guild thing…..It is teh sux!
I’m still somewhat sane although it’s debatable at times. The officers and I have decided to strip down the guild and focus more on raiding than on the general casual game play that has left us with no one who wants to do anything productive. In other words, shit is going to hit the fan soon.
In the real world adventures, school is starting tomorrow and I have my days back. I’m also rethinking the whole story I was working on, as far as the format. I’m starting to think it would be better presented as a graphic novel, so now I’m looking into restructuring the outlines and such to look at it from a different perspective. If nothing else it’s a good exercise.

I mentioned being made GM of our guild, well the old gm is a great guy and is still around on several toons even though his main is on another server now. He’s still the person I go to with questions and such, so guess how much I freaked out yesterday when I logged in and went to drop some stuff in the bank, and there he was emptying all the high end items from it. I sent him a quick WTF? and he promptly logged out. I had a gut feeling on this one.
I got a Bliz GM involved immediately, and his account was locked. I questioned the person on the other end of the account was the person I knew. After much round and round with was it a hack or did he screw us babbling and second guessing from the majority of members, it was determined that his account had been hacked. Hopefully everything will get replaced and sorted out. The bad part is, it’s not our loss of guild items that upset me. It was the hacker gutting all of the guy’s toons. He had just swapped servers because he had the opportunity to run with a guild doing some serious end game content. Life sucks sometimes.

You know that World of Warcraft thing that I mention sometimes….like a crack addiction in every post? Our Guild leader took a position with a big time raiding guild and guess who he left in charge? I’m currently busting ass to get things organized and trying to recover some momentum we’ve lost over the summer. I have a feeling the woes of being a GM may become a staple around here for content, hopefully it will turn out to be a good thing.

WOW!! They did…and then ….but then there was…NO!!!!! but yeah they did!….and then Holy Shit!!! and after you thought they wouldn’t….WOW……. yeah….it’s like that.
